Tough Cookie

Thank you so much for praying for our sweet boy's procedure today. He is one tough cookie and he did excellent. We are hoping this helps him to feel better. He was the charming, sweet boy that he normally is and made lots of people smile this morning. One nurse told him that he set the standard very high for all of the other kids they would see today. We are beyond thankful for such a great little boy.
When he woke up form anesthesia he was quite mad and nothing was making him happy. He was ready to leave right at that instant but of course that could not happen so he made sure everyone knew he was not happy about that. The nurse said that when he was crying she asked if he was cute and he immediately stopped crying, looked her in the eye and said "Yes, I cute" then started crying again. He sure is rotten but makes us laugh. He did the same thing when we were able to see him and pitched an awful fit until the nurse said we could go for a walk and he immediately stopped fussing and was talking up a storm. He was promised a popsicle when he woke up and did not let the nurse forget. When she said she would be back with his popsicle he said "Mmmm... I want a blue popsicle." Of course they didn't have blue but he was just as satisfied with a purple one. He definitely knows what he wants and makes sure we know too :) We are blessed to be his parents and we are thankful that he shares his wonderful smile and personality with all those around us. He sure knows how to light up a room and make everyone around him happy. He is definitely a special boy!
Since we arrived home it has been all about making him happy and keeping him comfortable. That has meant snuggling up in Mommy and Daddy's bed, eating dinner inside of his tent that is set up in the middle of our living room while watching Mickey Mouse, and wearing Christmas pajamas to bed. He has had a good day and we are hoping for a good night. Again, thank you for all of your prayers and for everyone that has checked on him today!

He was quite relaxed while waiting to be taken back. He made himself right at home on the couch while we waited.
My big boy going for a "ride" as he said
Sometimes you just need to know Mommy is there when you don't feel so great.
Snuggles make you feel even better.
 Dinner in his tent :)
All smiles in his Christmas pajamas tonight :)

Feet In The Sand

We were blessed with another week away at the beach. Our sweet boy absolutely loved building "houses" in the sand, playing in the water, looking for "frabs" (crabs), and going for a "fwim" in the pool. He recently finished swim lessons and liked showing off his skills in the pool. He is such a silly boy and is full of personality. He is becoming very aware of his skills and what he is able to do and was constantly saying "Mommy/Daddy look!" He is very proud of himself and loves when he accomplishes something new.
We had to buy new shoes when we returned home because our sweet boy is growing so quickly. He picked out the shoes he liked and when he tried him on he said "Oh so pretty!" Mommy thought they were very pretty but had a hard time because not only did he go up a size, we had to move to the preschool section. I'm not really sure where my itty bitty baby went but I know he disappeared in what seems like a blink of an eye.
Our sweet boy has another procedure on Thursday and we are asking for your prayers. We are hoping this will take care of all of the congestion and breathing issues he has had. It should be a quick procedure with a quick recovery but Tyler and I are still very nervous. He is tough so I am sure he will be back to his spunky, active self very soon.

It was such a boring car ride he had to blow raspberries on his own leg :)

We made it! His dry clothes did not last long after this picture.

Luau night and looking at a beach sculpture.

Someone is a tad bit spoiled.
Running to the beach for pictures.

So thankful God chose us to be his parents

 The beach is hard work!

Raspberries weren't as entertaining on the way home, he decided to chew on his toes :)
